SPEAKER_00: Hey everybody, welcome back to the concert room. I'm your host, Bob Hill. The concert room is a podcast session dedicated to concert performances, performers, bands, and artists who played on the stage of the legendary Philadelphia Spectrum Arena. And all the surrounding venues in the Philadelphia area back in the heyday years of concert and show. Welcome back to the concert room. Appreciate you tuning in. Have a really great performance lineup for us today. Welcome back to the road.
SPEAKER_00: And then of course I make a play.
SPEAKER_00: And then I can of course.
SPEAKER_00: And then of course they graduated for the Lord.
SPEAKER_00: You are recording more than let's turn this up and enjoy you two. On the tower theater stage, supergroups network introduction is included. I believe this is a short recording because it's only about 45 minutes. And from what I understand, the second night performance was an hour and a half. Which was uh you know more likely. So this is why I'm featuring this entire recording due to its abridged length. So let's take it away. Here's U2 on the Tower Stage on May 13th, 1983.
SPEAKER_01: And now, from the stage of the Tower Theater in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Super Groups in Concert is proud to present Ireland's U Two.
SPEAKER_03: Let's do it together! Let's we did the cat with the lights.
SPEAKER_02: Will you go?
SPEAKER_03: Into the heart of the child. I stay a while. But I can go back into the heart of the child. I can smile.
SPEAKER_03: I can smile into the heart. Into the heart of the child. I can go back. I can stay a while to the heart.
SPEAKER_03: To the heart of the child.
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
SPEAKER_03: I want to see my son and my freshman.
SPEAKER_03: Sing for me.
SPEAKER_03: I can't scout so that I sat to you.
SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's me.
SPEAKER_03: Started the landslide in my ego. Of the eye soil, to rule up behind.
SPEAKER_03: She's here in the game.
SPEAKER_03: Wipe the eyes in the game.
SPEAKER_03: I try, shoot.
SPEAKER_03: Give it to you I give it to you.
SPEAKER_03: Good night. See ya.
SPEAKER_03: It's cold outside. It gets so hot in here.
SPEAKER_03: And the boys and girls collide.
SPEAKER_03: And I know it's time to go. I killed it too low.
SPEAKER_03: And I know we have the wrong. We thought that we had the answers. It was the questions we had wrong.
SPEAKER_03: I hear the children cry.
SPEAKER_03: I was like you know what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_03: The boy tries hard to be a man. His mother takes him by his hand. He stops nothing. He starts a cry.
unknown: You walk away, what you wake, walk away, lucky.
SPEAKER_03: I will follow.
SPEAKER_02: You want to get up your way, walk you away, lucky. I will, I will fall.
SPEAKER_03: I will fall. I will fall.
SPEAKER_00: That was fantastic.
